  • BUT God conforming my heart to His own.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Solitude<\/strong><\/span> — God quieting<\/span> me.<\/p>\n

    • NOT simply resting from my activities.<\/li>\n
    • BUT God stilling my soul.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Fasting<\/span><\/strong> — God focusing<\/span> me.<\/p>\n

        \n
      • NOT manipulating God.<\/li>\n
      • BUT God removing distractions from my life.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Scripture<\/span><\/strong> — God speaking<\/span> to me.<\/p>\n

        • NOT hearing what I want God to say.<\/li>\n
        • BUT God sharing His mind with me.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Writing<\/strong><\/span> — God clarifying<\/span> me.<\/p>\n

            \n
          • NOT writing down my ideas.<\/li>\n
          • BUT God revealing what He is doing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Fellowship<\/strong><\/span> — God touching<\/span> me.<\/p>\n

              \n
            • NOT expecting others to meet my needs.<\/li>\n
            • BUT God channeling His life through me.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              Obedience<\/strong><\/span> — God delighting<\/span> in me.<\/p>\n

                \n
              • NOT doing what I must.<\/li>\n
              • BUT joining God in what He is doing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                Suffering<\/strong><\/span> — God refining<\/span> me.<\/p>\n

                  \n
                • NOT simply enduring pain.<\/li>\n
                • BUT God forging character in me.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
