I cry to the Lord out of the depths.<\/strong> (1-2)<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD! O Lord, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my pleas for mercy.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>2. I cry to the Lord out of my depravity.<\/strong> (3-4)<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;If you, O LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?\u00a0 But with you there is forgiveness, that you may be feared.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>3. I cry to the Lord out of my darkness.<\/strong> (5-6)<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; my soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>When I do so cry to the Lord, I find Him faithful.<\/strong> (7-8)<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;O Israel, hope in the LORD! For with the LORD there is steadfast love, and with him is plentiful redemption.
