“… all the people wept as they heard the words of the Law.” (Nehemiah 8:9b)
“We are not told when the people began weeping; we are simply told that they were. At some point during the sermon they began to weep and could not control themselves. … perhaps God is giving you the ministry of tears. Remember, the revival that began in one heart full of tearful brokenness (Neh. 1:4) had now spread to the people for whom he wept. Maybe the brokenness in your heart is the precursor to the brokenness and blessing God longs to send to a wider circle of His people.” (Revival in the Rubble, p.171)
CLC Publications is having a huge sale right now (until May 20th) and three of my four books with them are on a huge sale. You can get Long Story Short and Revival in the Rubble for just $3.90 a copy and you can get Praying Through for just $4.20. It would be a great time to pick up one as a graduation gift or Father’s Day gift … or to use one of them as a Bible study or Sunday School guide. You can find them here.
I am about about six weeks out from the deadline for submitting the complete manuscript for my next book. It will be the third volume in the ___________ For Pastors commentaries published by Kress Biblical Resources. This time it is Philippians for Pastors and I estimate the final product to be approximately 450 pages in length. I would appreciate your prayers as I put the finishing touches on the manuscript and then as those at Kress Biblical Resources work with it and ready it for publication. Soon I’ll be looking for those who might offer endorsements, so if you’ve got any good contacts for me, please let me know!
I have two other manuscripts that are simmering on the back burners. One is a Christian living book; the other a book on preaching. In time we’ll see if those are things the Lord wishes for me to pursue further.
Thank you for your interest in the things I have written and for getting the Word out by sharing these resources with others.
