Praying for Our Nation

“First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.” (1Timothy 2:1-2)

“Pray for earthly peace, not that you might be comfortable, but that you might be fruitful.” (The Pastoral Epistles for Pastors, p.87)

The Stuff in the Middle

Our beginning and our ending should in some way govern our living in between.

“… we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world.” (1 Timothy 6:7)

The Devil With Doctrine

The devil is not against doctrine, he is against true doctrine.

“But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons.” (1 Timothy 4:1)
