“Rebellion has no aversion to religion. Rebellion is at home in robes of righteousness … the more hideous expressions of rebellion do nothing to look outwardly defiant … Rebellion can carry a Bible to church and don a pious look upon its face as easily as spirituality can.” (p.16, Embracing Authority)

Kress is offering this discount on three other books as well:
In Pursuit of Prodigals by Stephen Davey
The Book of James–A New Perspective by William Varner
The Discipline of Mercy: Seeking God in the Wake of Sin’s Misery by Eric Kress and Paul Tautges
Things have been a bit quite around here for a while and I apologize for that. It is largely due to the fact that a book deadline looms in the not-to-distant future and I have been devoting any spare moments to making certain that I meet that deadline.
I am completing a commentary on Colossians and Philemon which Kress Biblical Resources has agreed to publish. The hope is for a release date in March 2012.
Would you join me in praying for the final preparations of the text? And would you pray that God will use this commentary to guide many people into the life-changing Word of God?
Why do I do this? Quite simply it is because “The unfolding of your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple” (Psalm 119:130). I know that it is through the unfolding of God’s Word that God gives me light and understanding and I wish to be used to that end in the lives of others.
Due to so many of you, my commentary on Proverbs has temporarily gone out of stock and the publisher is arranging a reprinting. They estimate March 2012 as the date for new stock to arrive in the U.S. Meanwhile there are some online booksellers who still have it in stock. My thanks go out to all who use the commentary and encourage others to do so as well!
