I would like to thank Mr. Glenn Mertz of radio station 1220 AM The Word (Cleveland) for the enjoyable interview yesterday. He made me the guest on his program Living the Word. Our conversation centered mostly around my two latest books: Long Story Short and Pathways to Peace. If you would like to listen in to the thirty minute conversation you may do so here: The Word Interview.

“A million events assault the word ‘tomorrow’ to make it the most uncertain word in the English language.” (p.8, Pathways to Peace)
JUST RELEASED!
I am delighted to announce the release of my latest book, Pathways to Peace: Facing the Future With Faith — Meditations from Isaiah 40.

Isaiah 40-66 has been called “a survival guide for an uncertain future.” Isaiah 40, then, becomes our first step forward in faith. A simple pattern emerges from the prophet’s words in this strategic chapter: Only God’s presence sustains you in the panic of an uncertain future, and God’s presence only brings you peace when you appreciate his preeminence over all things.

Endorsements:
“… a joy to read, with its strong encouragement on how the preeminence and presence of our Lord affect all we do, think and hope for as believers. I strongly encourage a wide usage of this book among all who need a spiritual uplift in these troubling days.” —Walter C. Kaiser, Jr., Ph.D, President Emeritus, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary
“This is a refreshing and health-giving meditation on the grandest of all themes: the nature of God and how it affects our living today. It will strengthen your spiritual muscles and equip you to face the challenges you encounter victorious.” —Ajith Fernando, National Director, Youth for Christ, Sri Lanka

This morning Mr. Dick Lee, Station Manager of WCRF 103.3 FM in Cleveland, Ohio, graciously interviewed me regarding my new book Long Story Short. WCRF has a great ministry all across northern Ohio and western Pennsylvania.

Several years ago after my first book, Embracing Authority, was released I was asked to participate in a one hour, prime time, call-in radio program called Open Line heard nationwide on the Moody Broadcasting Network stations. Wayne Shepherd (pictured here) was the host and interacted with me and the various callers on this vital issue of authority.
I am posting the audio files from that evening here. I’ve broken the one hour program into four files for sake of size. Enjoy!
