I would think that to be used of GOD Greatly, you would have to know HIM Grately and to KNOW Him is to LOVE HIM Greatly!Philippians 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.Faith and LOVE are the components of being used of GOD Greatly!

I think this could be called a false dichotomy. 🙂 I do think that the people God greatly uses tend to be those who take time to get to know him deeply first. Of course, there are examples where he uses unbelievers to accomplish his purposes, but generally the better you know someone the easier it becomes to know their desires, which certainly helps when seeking to be used by God.

I would rather be used of God greatly. Being in action for Him would ultimately draw me and others closer to his presence and bring him much glory. Faith without works is useless.

Know God deeply, then we surrender completely to HIM and allow HIM to use us for his Glory.

Know God deeply. If I knew Him deeply I would understand His desire to mold me to be in his likeness and I would hopefully allow myself to be molded.

I’d rather know God deeply… everything… everything of importance comes out of knowing Him. You can be used greatly by God without ever knowing Him because God can do anything with anyone, but knowing Him~ There is no greater thing.

I desire both, but if I am choosing then I would choose to know God deeply. To fully know Him and to be fully known by Him is my desire. There is no greater peace than the peace of feeling Gods presence with you. and knowing that He knows your whole story and yet He still loves you. I love the story of Mary sitting at Jesus feet and learning from Him . We too can do that by praying and digging deeper into His word each day. If we give each day to Him, He will use us in great ways, even if those ways don’t seem that great to us . To know and love Him deeply seems to me to be the greatest thing.

I concur with Tim. Unless you’re Balaam’s donkey, it makes sense that to be used by God greatly one must seek to know Him deeply 😉
